Dante Rivera vs. Jesse Taylor -
I am sure that I am not the only person who thinks that wrestling can dominate a more skilled opponent, and I think that Jesse Taylor proved it. Wrestling can beat Grappling, when a wrestler has moderate Grappling skills. I am not trying to discount Grappling or the submission game, as I love it, but there is nothing like having a solid wrestler wear you out with a constant battering of punches and elbows, it can even be difficult to deal with when just rolling. Bottom line, Jesse Taylor looked impressive last night with another solid showing, and look for more meat head cutting tactics next week.
Matt Brown vs. Amir Sadollah -
Matt Brown looked like a killer in my book, and Amir looked a bit soft. I never questioned either competitors warrior spirit after the first week of fights, but I didnt give Amir much of a shot upto and until he finished with a triangle out of a scramble. If it airs again I would suggest taking a peek. Excellent standing battle, with a finish on the ground.
I am not sure if anyone else has ever tried to learn Grappling or Jiu Jitsu online before but it can be a scary subject. Hacks, losers, idiots, and out of shape wanna be ninjas who have access to a video camera post videos online. Leaving the rest of us stuck wondering if these guys are for real or not. Well I have found the answer to that problem, submissions101.com. While this site is not a secret, they do provide 100% free online videos of anything and everything submission related. Eddie Bravo frequently visits them and appears to always have a good time, perhaps in Canada the laws on cannabis are a bit more lax than here in the states.
I would definately suggest checking them out at least once a week as they add new videos all the time.

UFC 84 – was worth the money. Finally I ordered one worth paying for. I am very happy to annouce that BJ Penn worked Sean Sherk. Not sure why people were picking Sherk for this one, perhaps it is because he looks like a professional body builder or not, maybe he even has that I just took steroids look going on that everyone equates to “Championship Calibur”. In any event, the fight was excellent, BJ showed excellent boxing skills, a solid game plan, and excellent foot work in this 3 round massacre. Sherk did not show any solid game. It really made me think about how important having a solid game plan is, even having a back up game plan to go to in the case the Plan A did not end up being useful. Sherk for whatever reason tried to box up Penn and it ended up being a mistake. Sherk who is known for excellent wrestling and ground and pound instead tried to test his standup….
