TUF 9 – Anyone Bisping – Missing Dean’s Fight

A week ago, the team representing the red, white and blue picked up its first win of the season, as Team UK’s Dean Amasinger found himself on the business end of a Damarques Johnson triangle choke. To make matters worse for Amasinger, his coach, Michael Bisping, was nowhere to be found.

Bisping made amends with Amasinger on episode six, as he offered a wholehearted apology and blamed his absence on jet lag. He had overslept.

“I just hope he forgives me for it because it is inexcusable, to be honest,” Bisping said.

Apparently the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Comission) is accusing Greg Jackson, and Phil Nurse of “Greasing” GSP down in order to gain a competitive advantage in his trouncing of LightWeight Champion BJ Penn.  To make matters even more interesting BJ Penn’s camp is rumored to be inclined to file a greviance against GSP and his camp for the incident.  I love sports.  Isnt this like saying, I know I got my @ss kicked but he smelled bad.

Local Badass Takes Talent to the WEC

Scott Jorgenson, renowned ninja, and local wrestling staple is competing on the August 3rd WEC card at The Joint – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Nevada Starting at 9pm Eastern. Scott is taking on Kenji Osawa a former Waiter and 8th ranked featherweight SHOOTO competitor.

Best of luck to you Scott I am going to be cheering for you.

UFC or Affliction?

Well Last night was very interesting for fight fans I would imagine. Personally I voted for the FREE UFC card, on Spike, which was pretty action packed. I am sure that is enough talking for all of you.

UFC 84 – Ill Will

UFC 84 – was worth the money. Finally I ordered one worth paying for. I am very happy to annouce that BJ Penn worked Sean Sherk. Not sure why people were picking Sherk for this one, perhaps it is because he looks like a professional body builder or not, maybe he even has that I just took steroids look going on that everyone equates to “Championship Calibur”. In any event, the fight was excellent, BJ showed excellent boxing skills, a solid game plan, and excellent foot work in this 3 round massacre. Sherk did not show any solid game. It really made me think about how important having a solid game plan is, even having a back up game plan to go to in the case the Plan A did not end up being useful. Sherk for whatever reason tried to box up Penn and it ended up being a mistake. Sherk who is known for excellent wrestling and ground and pound instead tried to test his standup….
